Jazz at the U

A monthly jazz series at the Student Union provides an opportunity for the further musical development of jazz students. Jazz has traditionally been learned on the bandstand, in nightclubs. In the spirit of continuing this tradition, the "Jazz at the U" series allows students to apply and experiment with the material they have been taught in the classroom. The alcohol-free event has provided a valuable cultural service to the university community and is sponsored by the Dean of Students.
